Attorney Edward V. Walsh, III joined the firm in 2008. Prior to that time, Attorney Walsh was a partner with the law firm of Maher & Murtha, LLC. During his 14 year tenure at Maher & Murtha, Attorney Walsh handled serious personal injury claims and wrongful death claims including defending Trucking companies, Emergency Medical Service Companies, Doctors, Chiropractors and Nurses. Attorney Walsh has also represented plaintiffs in all types of serious personal injury claims and medical malpractice claims. Attorney Walsh has extensive trial and appellate level experience arguing cases on behalf of his clients. Resident in the firm's Trumbull office, Attorney Walsh concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury litigation, medical malpractice, commercial litigation, insurance defense, criminal litigation and employment litigation.
Attorney Walsh graduated from Fairfield University in 1977, with a B.A. in Political Science. He went on to attend the University of Bridgeport School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 1980. While at the University of Bridgeport School of Law, Attorney Walsh was a member of the Tax Clinic. He later received his L.L.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law in 1981. Attorney Walsh was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1981, the New York Bar in 1982 and the Connecticut Bar in 1993. He was also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut in 1993. Upon graduating from law school, Attorney Walsh served as a Trial Attorney representing the New York City Transit Authority in Brooklyn, New York, litigating all transit matters throughout Brooklyn and New York City.
Attorney Walsh is a member of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association and Connecticut Bar Association. He also is a past co-chair of the Medical Legal Committee of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association Attorney Walsh also authored a chapter in the 1995 edition of Civil Discovery Practice in Connecticut. Attorney Walsh is also a certified trial referee in the State of Connecticut.
Active in his community, Attorney Walsh is a Lector at St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown, Connecticut and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He has also served as a coach for the Mock Trial Team at St. Rose School and has coached numerous youth sports programs in the Town of Newtown. He resides in Newtown with his wife and three children.
