Attorney Joseph Siciliano has spent the past forty years representing clients in a myriad of housing matters. Resident of the firm’s Trumbull office, Attorney Siciliano concentrates his practice in landlord-tenant disputes, summary process actions, lease disputes, lease drafting, associated general litigation, and real estate Law, representing both buyers and sellers. Attorney Siciliano graduated from the University of Bridgeport in 1959, with a BA in Political Science. Thereafter, Attorney Siciliano attended Boston University School of Law, where he received a Juris Doctorate in 1962. He was admitted to the Connecticut Bar that same year, and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut in 1963.
Upon graduating from law school, Attorney Siciliano joined the law firm of H. Manton Ahlberg & William Smyth, a general practice law firm located in Stratford, Connecticut. Ten years later, Attorney Siciliano began and built his own practice. During that time, Attorney Siciliano served as General Counsel for the Bridgeport Housing Authority. He served as General Counsel between 1976 and 2003. During that time, Attorney Siciliano was responsible for all litigation matters concerning the housing authority, as well as serving as legal advisor to the Executive Director of the Housing Authority and its Board of Directors. Attorney Siciliano also provided legal counsel to the managers of housing complexes under the control of the Housing Authority, specifically as it related to the enforcement of leasehold agreements and enforcement action with respect to tenants. While serving as General Counsel, Attorney Siciliano was responsible for the handling of over 1,200 residential real estate closings for a single residential development in the City of Bridgeport.
Joseph A. Siciliano, a 47 year resident of the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, is a past executive board member of the Black Rock Little League, served as a Lector at St. Ann's Church, and is a member of the Black Rock Community Council. Attorney Siciliano is also a member of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association and Knights of Columbus. Attorney Siciliano is the proud father of five adult children and grandfather of six. He currently resides in Black Rock with his wife.
